RECRUITMENT
Recruitment is the process by which active chapter members meet potential new members who are commonly referred as PNMs. PNMs have the opportunity to learn more about the chapters, their philanthropies and what Greek life entails!
Recruitment is held at the beginning of each Fall and Winter semester. Fall Recruitment is held in September and is formal. It typically consists of a three-night process, followed by a Bid Day. This is organized entirely by the Panhellenic Council in which all chapters at Oakland University participate. Through a mutual selection process, potential new members (PNMs) have the opportunity to meet active chapter women and visit all five chapters. As the week progresses, both PNMs and chapters will narrow their choices. At the end of the week, bids to chapters are extended.
On the other hand, Winter Recruitment is very informal. Only certain chapters are eligible to participate and each chapter organizes their Winter recruitment events independently.

Recruitment Schedule
Orientation Day
On this day you will meet the Rho Gamma team and you will learn some basic information about the recruitment process, what to expect, and what to wear for each night.
Day 1:
Information Night
On this night you will meet your Rho Gammas and have a chance to visit all five sororities for 30 minutes each. The sororities will share with you basic information about their chapter and you will have an opportunity to ask any questions you need to. At the end of this night you will be asked to list your top three sororities.
Day 2:
Philanthropy
Day
On this day you will return to three chapters for 45 minutes each. The chapters will tell you about the philanthropy they are involved with and may have you do a craft or activity that relates to their philanthropy. At the end of this night you will be asked to list your top two sororities.
Day 3:
Preference
Morning
On this morning you will be invited to return to two sororities for one hour each. This is the most intimate and important night of recruitment. Each chapter will share with you their specific meaning of their sisterhood and give you a peak into what membership in their chapter is like. At the end of the night you will be asked to fill out the MRABA contract and rank in order your first and second choice.
BID
DAY!
On this day bids will be handed out by the Rho Gammas and you will find out what sorority has extended an invite to you to join their chapter. You will then join the sorority members in the Gold Rooms to reveal the sorority you will be joining and to see what sororities the Rho Gammas belong to.
